Description
The phrase “Seven Letters from Jesus” refers to the letters found in the book of Revelation, chapters 2 and 3. These seven letters were dictated by Jesus to the apostle John while John was exiled on the island of Patmos. The letters were originally addressed to seven literal Christian churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey): Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.
Each letter is tailored to a specific church’s spiritual condition, offering a mix of praise and criticism, and provides instructions for finding spiritual footing. The letters address common issues that ancient and modern churches face, including a decline in love, tolerating false teachings, spiritual apathy, and enduring persecution. While the letters were for specific congregations, their messages contain timeless truths and are considered valuable for all Christians today.
