Description
Shoshos Secret Pet is a story of Shosho Haraka and her secretly kept pet. As the villagers settle down to agree on what animals to tame, we hear Shosho Haraka incessantly complaining of not being heard just because she is a woman. However, the real Shosho Harakas character is exposed when the villagers discover that she had all along kept a pet that they were warned against. Finally, Shosho Haraka is sent away while the villagers enjoy their long lost peace.
The story emphasises the importance of good neighbourliness and respect for authority. Children in classes 6-8 will find this book interesting and appreciate the lessons expressed in the story.
