Description
The Pied Piper of Hamelin is a legend about a man who rids the German town of Hamelin of a rat infestation with his magic pipe, but the mayor refuses to pay him the promised reward. In revenge, the piper returns and uses his pipe to lure away the town’s children, who are never seen again, with only three children remaining because they couldn’t follow. The legend serves as a cautionary tale about keeping promises and the consequences of greed and deceit. Â
